Odyssey of the Mind

The Odyssey of the Mind (OM) club is an academic competition program in which teams are formed to creatively solve a variety of long term problems.  OM is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

Teams work for months to ultimately compete in a regional OM tournament in March. Following the regional tournament, the first and second place winners advance to the state tournament.  First and second place winners in the state tournament advance to the World Finals where OM teams from all over the world travel to a variety of locations in the US to compete.

Most OM meetings are after school on Mondays and Thursdays. Saturday practices may become necessary to make sure teams are totally prepared for competition.

**Tryouts are conducted in the fall semester.
